Over two days Tom worked methodically checking the hedges regularly to ensure they were cut to both his and our satisfaction.

He brought all his own tools and equipment and left the garden tidy and immaculate.

Tom was coming to attend to my four fruit trees on Saturday the 9th March. Would it be lousy wet weather?

Thankfully not - it turned out to be a great day in every way. The sun actually shone - all day!

All those ivy engulfed tree trunks I knew wouldn't be like that by the end of the day.

And it didn't take Tom long to strip off the ivy and cut and shape a couple of border hedges as well. He took all the considerable amount of waste away so you would not even know he'd been there.

For me, when I look out at the garden now, it's like a new scene. Welcoming the Spring.

Over the two days Tom worked methodically up the garden checking it regularly to ensure he was completing the work to our satisfaction.

He brought all his own tools and equipment, left the garden immaculate and even managed to find the time to clip back our buddleia and a couple of mature bushes.

The worst of the overgrown hedges was left looking smart and under control. Tom was careful to lock up the side of the house which gave him access to the garden.
